Sorry it's been a little light lately; I'll be back in the swing soon. In the meantime, here's a picture from last month, in which I went to TLC's favorite outdoor eating spot for a birthday dinner with Philosophical T.A.'s sisters and their respective husbands. (It was her brother's birthday--he lives abroad. Family tradition dictates that the sibs get together for dinner in his honor, and now it seems that I am an honorary bhen. I swear Ph.T.A. has the sweetest family.)
And in an update of a previous post: turns out that the "bomb blast" I reported was actually the accidental explosion of some sort of gas tank. Tragically, 7 people died and 12 were injured. Having said that, I'm glad it wasn't a bomb.
